Hi, I’m Kathryn — salon owner/educator, life coach in training, proud mum, shopaholic, love to laugh, love fashion, travel, and great food!
I’ve been hairdressing for over 40 years - (yes, really!). I've owned a number of salons in Liverpool over the last 30 years, finally settling 20 years ago in Woolton road salon.
It’s a place filled with good vibes, great hair, and a lot of laughter. We specialise in precision cutting, creative colour, colour correction, expert styling, and we do it all with heart.
My journey started at 15 in a Liverpool salon, and from day one I knew I didn’t just want to cut hair—I wanted to inspire people. I’ve co-owned busy salons, trained dozens of stylists (many who now own their own businesses!), and even won "Employer of the Year" while working with Liverpool Community College.
Along the way, I’ve added new chapters: I’ve trained in counselling skills and I'm currently studying life coaching to support people beyond the mirror.
Whether it’s a colour refresh, a confidence boost, or just a chat and a laugh, I’m all about helping people feel good—inside and out.
When I’m not behind the chair or coaching, you’ll probably find me booking a flight, squeezing another dress into my overflowing wardrobe, or sipping cocktails in a gorgeous restaurant.

Senior Stylist
With 17 years of hairdressing experience, 15 of those alongside Kathryn Kavanagh, Catherine is a highly skilled and trusted member of the team.
She specializes in colour, precision cutting and styling, delivering tailored styles that enhance each client’s individuality.
Catherine is passionate about making a positive difference in how people feel about themselves, and her calm, caring approach ensures every client leaves feeling confident and refreshed.
Clare
Stylist Clare has been part of the Kathryn Kavanagh Salon team for 8 years, bringing warmth, professionalism, and a genuine love for hairdressing to every appointment.
A lifelong passion turned career, Clare chose to train and qualify as a hairdresser at 40, proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams. She enjoys all aspects of cutting, colouring, and styling, with a special focus on helping clients maintain healthy, beautiful hair.
Friendly and approachable, Clare is dedicated to making every client feel comfortable and confident.
Siobhan
Hi, I’m Siobhan!, I’ve been a hairdresser for 17 years and I love what I do. Whether it’s a fresh colour, a cut, or a special up-do, I’m all about making sure you leave feeling your best. I take pride in getting to know my clients—whether you’ve been coming to me for years or it’s your first visit, I always want to create a comfortable, enjoyable experience.
I’m a colour specialist at heart, but I’m equally passionate about cutting, styling, and creating the perfect look for every occasion. I’m all about working with you to achieve your ideal style—whether it’s something bold or a subtle change, we’ll get it just right together.

Michelle
Michelle – Creative Director
With over 30 years of experience in the hair industry, Michelle brings exceptional expertise and creativity to the Kathryn Kavanagh Salon.
Trained by Barbara Daley and working in Liverpool city centre for 12 years, she went on to successfully run her own business for 19 years.
Now self-employed at the salon, Michelle specialises in in-depth consultations, precision cutting—including gents’ cuts—and advanced colouring techniques.
Known for her keen eye for suitability and hair type, Michelle takes pride in delivering hair that not only looks amazing but is easy for clients to manage every day.
Elle
Stylist Elle is the youngest member of the Kathryn Kavanagh Salon team and brings fresh energy and creativity to her role.
Trained under Kathryn herself, Elle has developed a strong foundation in both cutting and colouring. She specializes in long hair and loves creating beautiful finishes with curly blow-dries and wanding.
Elle’s friendly approach and professional service make her a favourite among clients looking for modern, polished styles.

Salon Coordinator Lynn is the beating heart of the Kathryn Kavanagh Salon.
As the salon coordinator, she’s the first warm smile to greet every client and the friendly voice behind each booking.
Known for her professionalism and genuine passion for customer care, Lynn consistently goes the extra mile to ensure every visit is seamless, welcoming, and unforgettable. Her dedication helps create the exceptional experience clients have come to love and expect.
Vicky
Vicky offers luxury vegan and cruelty-free beauty treatments including lash extensions, lash lifts, brow waxing and tinting, brow lamination, BIAB nails and gel polish.
Vicky recently qualified in a holistic Natural Face Lift Facial technique that firms, tightens, and relaxes.
She also specialises in glam makeup for weddings, special occasions, and one-to-one lessons—making every client feel confident, radiant, and beautifully themselves.
Hanna
Hanna, is our beauty therapist based at Kathryn Kavanagh salon.
Hanna has been in the industry for 3 years, and absolutely loves making you feel and look gorgeous.
Nails are her passion — specializing in acrylics, BIAB, and manicures, all with custom nail art to suit your vibe! ❤️
